Monday 6th October
Empowering Young Entrepreneurs - University of Bedfordshire - 2:30pm
Learn how to formulate a business plan and write and present a pitch – for those aged 18-25. 16–18-year-olds are welcome but the potential funding available after the ‘Dragons Den’ style pitch is limited to people aged 18 and over only. 50 places available.
Entrepreneurship for All - Online - 6pm
Entrepreneurship should be accessible to everyone. This inclusive session explores how individuals from all backgrounds – including those with disabilities – can start and grow successful businesses. Join us to learn about tailored support, resources, and inspiring stories that prove enterprise truly is for all.
Tuesday 7th October
Understanding AI Shortlisting - Online - 6pm
Curious about how AI is used in recruitment? This online session demystifies the shortlisting process, showing how AI tools assess applications and what you can do to stand out. Ideal for job seekers, HR professionals, and anyone interested in the future of hiring.
Wednesday 8th October
Opportunities for Upskilling - Hat Factory - 9:30am
With advancements in technology and the need to develop skills for the future, an apprenticeship is a great way to earn while you learn without paying tuition fees. Courses ranging from Level 2 to Level 7 (Masters). 50 places available.
First Steps into the Creative Industries - Online - 6pm
‘First Steps into the Creative Industry’ is a one-hour online workshop introducing practical ways to set up your creative practice or business. Facilitated by Jakub Rokita who leads the Creative Industry Network project in Luton, it will cover the essentials of getting started – from identifying your niche and understanding the sector, to find opportunities and building your first connections. Designed for those at the beginning of their journey, it offers clear guidance and space for questions.
Thursday 9th October
Women in STEM - University of Bedfordshire - 10am
Panel discussion with women offering inspiration, advice, and insights into navigating careers in STEM. Panel members include a scientist, an aircraft engineering manager, an AI specialist, a flight captain from Wizz Air and a civil engineer. Students can attend and send questions for the panel before the event. 100 spaces available.
